New digital tool helps you give money to charity while you sleep

You may have heard of the brand new app called ICukoo which has been in the news over the past week. ICukoo is an alarm clock that allows you to donate money to charity every time you hit the snooze button.

It works like any other alarm clock on your smartphone but has more benefits than just an extra 15 minutes in bed. You have to choose the charity you want to donate to, the length and interval time of your snooze, and the amount you wish to give.

When you have hit the snooze button enough times to make up £1, the app will send you a text message asking if you want to donate that amount to your chosen charity or if you want to continue snoozing.

This is a great digital tool because the majority of us struggle to get out of bed in the morning and even more of us spend the first half hour of the day hitting the snooze button. With this app users can do their bit before even getting out of bed!

You can choose to donate your snooze money to one of five charities: Maggie’s, the National Literacy Trust, Parkinson’s UK, Prostate Cancer UK and Starlight.

The team behind the app are also looking for more charities to sign up to this fantastic programme so if you are a local charity or have one within your community and you would like to feel the benefits of iCukoo click here to contact them.

iCukoo is available to download for free from the app store and you can follow them here on Twitter.
